Created by and with thanks to That Artsy Reader! This Tuesday’s prompt has my stomach growling 😅

1. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
Hogwarts food always makes me hungry, but this one has it in spades, right from the Ton-Tongue Toffee incident at the start. Mrs Weasley’s cooking, several Triwizard feasts, the Yule Ball… Sorry, that’s the sound of my stomach growling to ‘Hedwig’s Theme’.

2. The Princess Diaries: Take Two by Meg Cabot
You know those lines you randomly remember from books, decades later, and you’re not sure why but they’re stuck in your head? There’s a line in this one where Mia’s lamenting that she’s finally got a boyfriend to share Sunday dim sum with, but it’s the wrong boy–and while I’m Team Michael for sure, it’s the food part that stuck in my mind. Also, Mia’s a fellow vegetarian for this part of the series, so everything she eats makes me hungry!

3. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
This is an obvious one, right? Lara Jean’s Christmas cookie baking bonanza will get to anyone’s stomach!

4. Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
Okay, I admit it: this one’s in here solely for Nina’s love of waffles–and the way she enjoys them again when she comes to term with herself, post-parem.

5. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
I know this one seems a bit on the nose, but it’s even more food-ish than the first: the Victory Tour meals, the peppermints Katniss wants to buy when she’s evading Peacekeepers, all the seafood and bread in the arena… I don’t even eat seafood, have never had any interest to, but it still makes me want some!

So… Who else is dashing off to raid the fridge?
