Top Ten Tuesday: (Five) Books with Cartoon Couples On the Cover

Created by and with thanks to That Artsy Reader! This week’s theme was a cover freebie, so I’m taking the opportunity to gush about my favourite cover trend: cartoon couples on romcoms! I haven’t even read some of these, but they made my TBR instantly–because it turns out when this is the trend, I do judge a book by its cover!

.

1. It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey
Just LOOK at the sass of that couple–and the perfect outfits, and the little lighthouse between them, and that whole blue backdrop of sea and sky… How can you see that and not want to read this book!?

2. Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert
Cartoon animals, cartoon doodles, and a (cartoon) man with long hair. It’s like the cover designer was working off a checklist of things I love to see!

3. Well Met by Jen DeLuca
Again: the sass! The posing! And new: Converse! Flower crowns! I will take it all.

4. Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake
I’m not afraid to say I stuck this one straight on my TBR before it was even released because of that gorgeous cover. (Can we talk about Delilah here, though? Can we just talk about her?!)

5. My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories edited by Stephanie Perkins
And ending on the one that started it all! I fell in love with this cover the second I saw it, and loved going back to it after each story to match the couple to the cartoon. Get you a cover that works on that many levels!

What’s your favourite cover trend?
