Created by and with thanks to That Artsy Reader! I was super prepared for this week’s theme, because I’ve been planning my spring TBR for months, thanks to March Madness! I ran a bookish March Madness bracket last year, for my readers to choose my April TBR–and it was such a blast, I’m doing it again this year. We’re two voting rounds in at the moment, but you can check out rounds one and two, and vote on the final round this Friday! So as far as my spring TBR goes, my April reading will be my four March Madness winners–but I’ve got something special in store for May, too…
.

1. A Romance
It’ll be one of the pictured, I know that much–it depends what wins the March Madness category! (I might be secretly hoping for Chloe Brown or The Road Trip…)

2. One from the Backlist
Again, I’ll have to wait for the March Madness winner to know which of the pictured backlist books I’ll be reading. I’ve had all of these for 2+ years, but I might be secretly pulling for Carry On, because I really want to know what the Baz fuss is about…

3. A Fantasy
If last year’s results are anything to go by, it’ll be a Sarah J. Maas that wins–she was only narrowly beaten out last year by the newly-released Chain of Iron. The bigger question is, whether it wins or not, do I read The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires ASAP, or do I save it for Halloween…?

4. A Reread
All of these fill me with so much nostalgic joy, I could happily reread any of them. I could not possibly pick a horse to back in this race.

5. Persuasion by Jane Austen
And finally, a non-March Madness contender! I’m planning to have a Regency-era May, catching up on Bridgerton (books and TV show), and tackling one of the two Austen books I’ve yet to read. Here’s hoping I manage it, instead of being sucked into watching the 1995 Pride and Prejudice again…
.
What’s on your spring TBR?
Great list! Ooh Persuasion is my favourite Austen, I hope you enjoy it. 😁

Frankie Landau-Banks is my favourite Lockhart book, but I rarely hear about it. I sometimes let Twitter pick my next audiobook read, helps stop me dithering about what to read next.

That’s true! We Were Liars gets a lot of Frankie’s attention. That’s a good method for choosing!

Red White and Royal Blue was so good! And I’ll always go for anything Charlaine Harris. You can’t go wrong with anything she’s written.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

So many great options!! I do hope you get to Persuasion — I happen to love it, and my book group is planning to read it in the fall as our classic read, AND there’s a good movie adaptation too!! Enjoy your spring reading!

I really like the 1995 version with Ciaran Hinds (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114117/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_2), although I watched the 2007 version as well and it was also good!
