Top Ten Tuesday: (Five) Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the First Half of 2022

Created by and with thanks to That Artsy Reader! This week’s theme is one I always struggle with–I’m usually so buried under my years-old TBR, I’m the last to know when there’s a new book released. So to cheat the prompt a little, here’s five books I’m excited about for both halves of 2022…

1. Book of Night by Holly Black
May 2022
The first adult Holly Black book! I’m getting Ninth House meets Curseworkers vibes, and I cannot wait.

2. Chain of Thorns by Cassandra Clare
November 2022
The final in the trilogy has been SO long awaited, and the fact that it’s been pushed back to November hurts–but I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait!

3. Something Wilder by Christina Lauren
May 2022
I have become a complete and shameless CLo fangirl over the pandemic, and though God knows I’m hoping the pandemic will be over by the time their next book is released, I’ll be excited for it either way!

4. Book Lovers by Emily Henry
May 2022
It turns out I’m a sucker for romances about people who write or edit or publish books–looking at you, Beach Read, The Flatshare, and The Hating Gameand I love an enemies to lovers even more, so bring this one on!

5. Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake
February 2022
LOOK AT THAT COVER. But if that’s not enough to sell it for you: small towns, big weddings, and forced proximity. I am THERE.

What 2022 books are you looking forward to?

    1. Ha–I’ve JUST seen it there on your list and said the same thing! I hope you enjoy Christina Lauren if you try them–I’ve never read a book of theirs that I didn’t fall in love with!

  1. Book Lovers made my list as well! I can’t wait for Christina Lauren’s new one either. Hope you enjoy all of these this year πŸ™‚

    1. Ah, I hope you enjoy them if/when you do! I loved the Cruel Prince and its sequels, but my favourite of hers is The Coldest Girl in Coldtown–it’s a great Halloween read, too!

  2. So many of these made my list too. Oh gosh.. I was going to read Chain of Iron this month. Then I saw it got pushed to November and now I”m debating on waiting… I just don’t know how long I can deal with a huge cliffhanger. Haha!

      1. It’s what I’ve heard!! I’m sorta patient since I have a ton of other books to read but I’ve made it almost a year… I can probably wait longer πŸ˜‚
