Top 10 Tuesday: (Five) Book Titles That Sound Like They Could Be Crayola Crayon Colors

Created by and with thanks to That Artsy Reader! I love this sort of post, and I had far too much fun with it…

1. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
I would buy a whole set of colours just because one had this name.

12042324. sy475

2. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Imagine the shade of orange crayon with this name, and then remember that orange is Peeta’s favourite colour. Am I right??

3. The Yellow Wall-Paper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman
There’s a sick sort of humour in this pick, I know.

4. Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore
I don’t really like the colour blue, but what a great name.

5. The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton
Yes, it’d be a pretty pink colour–but mostly I’m just amused at the idea of calling a crayon ‘everlasting’.

What made your list this week?

      1. And when he wasn’t bland, angry! The whole bit about Katniss knowing Gale’s wouldn’t have been what she needed is the final word on that whole ship. 😂

    1. 😅 it’s a strange crime defended by someone currently wearing blue pyjamas, but there it is!
There’s definitely false advertising in ‘Everlasting Rose’, but now I’m thinking of Willy Wonka Everlasting Gobstoppers but for crayons…
