Top Ten Tuesday: (Five) Books On My Spring 2021 TBR

Created by and with thanks to That Artsy Reader! For this week’s prompt, I’m delving into a bit of gratuitous self-promotion! Throughout March, on my blog and Instagram, I’m running a March Madness for my followers to choose my April TBR. The results of the first round are in; the second round is running currently (results to be revealed this Friday, when round three of voting will begin!), and here are a few of the potential remaining options for my April TBR!

1. Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare
I’m really hoping this one wins the ‘Fantasy’ March Madness bracket–I’ve been looking forward to it for at least a year, and staying away from spoilers is getting increasingly difficult!

2. The Duke and I (Bridgerton #1) by Julia Quinn
Like just about everyone else, I was obsessed with this when it came out on Netflix, and binged it in days. This one’s up against tough company in the ‘Romance’ bracket, but we’ll see if it hangs in there!

3. Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen
This one’s in the ‘Classics’ bracket–a good way to push through some of the Austen I’ve had and wanted to read for a long time, now!

4. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
This one’s in this ‘Backlist’ bracket: books that have been on my TBR for more than two years. I’m pretty sure this series has been on my TBR for about seven years, so it’s long overdue…

And finally, the one book I know for sure I’ll be reading in April, as it’s released at the end of March:

54589790

5. Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo
I’ve been doing a full Grishaverse reread since the middle of February in anticipation of this one–it’s all preordered, and I can’t wait to get stuck in!

What’s on your spring TBR? (Feel free to click the March Madness links and vote for mine!)

    1. She does always get beautiful covers—every edition is stunning! I definitely recommend them (I also recommend starting with The Infernal Devices, which fair warning may rip your heart out and dance on it). Hope you enjoy them if you give them a go!

  1. I just loved Chain of Iron. It had me up until 3 AM two days in a row reading! My friend at my old job LOVED Vampire Academy. I need to read it sometime. Maybe I should throw it into my TBR lottery–otherwise I’ll never remember to read it!

  2. I really loved Northanger Abbey. It’s a hilarious satire on romance novels with a bit of ‘coming of age’ mixed in which made it a great read. Catherine is sort of your lovable idiot gothic heroine. I hope you enjoy!

    1. I love that it’s got such a passionate fan base, everyone has the best things to say about it! Super excited to read it (and I do actually have the whole series, in case a binge is needed 😂)
