Created by and with thanks to That Artsy Reader! This Tuesday’s prompt is all about summer vibes–and thanks to an outburst of uncharacteristically cheery British weather, I am entirely ready for it 😎
1. Austenland by Shannon Hale
Maybe it’s because the entire book is basically a dream holiday, maybe it’s the pretty summer sky on the cover, maybe because it’s a ray of sunshine to read… Any which way, summer vibes all around!
2. The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
I recently added this to my TBR, and I’m saving it for the height of summer, so I can (sort of) spend part of my summer on a tropical vacation, too!
3. I See London, I See France by Sarah Mlynowski
The UK version literally has the word summer in the title (for some unknown reason, they renamed it ‘The Girls’ Guide to Summer‘?). Worse title, but definitely makes it a worthy candidate for this prompt!
4. Summer Days and Summer Nights edited by Stephanie Perkins
It’s an entire anthology full of short stories about summer. What could be more suitable?
5. Shipwrecked by Siobhan Curham
This one’s been on my TBR for a while–I have suspicions that it’s a bit darker and more complicated than any simple shipwreck, but there’s a beach and a sunset on the cover, so screams summer to me!
